WEBSITE & WORKSPACE TERMS

Clear steps. Clear expectations.

Updated 2 November 2026 · Folk Music Studio, a Vistle Studios initiative

What is available

This website offers artist and label enquiries, private release preparation and submissions to the Folk Music Studio team for catalogue review. These terms describe those website functions. They are not a digital distribution, publishing or artist-management agreement.

Ownership and upload permission

You retain the rights you hold in your music and artwork. Upload only material you have permission to store and share for the selected purpose. You permit the website and its hosting providers to store and process the material as needed to operate your workspace. Submitting a release permits the authorised studio team to access it for review.

A recording can contain separate rights in the sound recording, composition, lyrics, performance, samples and artwork. Your declaration does not replace supporting agreements or licence documents. The studio may request those documents before agreeing to any further service.

Studio review

Submission requests a review; it does not guarantee acceptance, a release date, playlist placement, streams, earnings or distribution. “Ready for agreement” means the studio is ready to discuss service terms. It is not approval to distribute without the necessary agreement and provider arrangements. Feedback and status changes appear in your workspace.

Pricing and payments

No subscription or distribution payment is collected by this version of the website. Any proposed paid service must state its scope, price or commission, deductions, payment conditions, cancellation/refund terms and applicable taxes before you accept it. Royalty payments and store delivery are not enabled here.

Acceptable use

Do not submit infringing, deceptive, malicious or unlawfully obtained content. Do not manipulate streaming activity, impersonate another artist, misuse another account, or interfere with the service. The studio may decline a submission or restrict abusive activity while resolving legitimate complaints.

Your account and files

Use your own sign-in account and keep its access secure. Keep independent copies of your final masters, artwork and rights documents. A draft can be edited or deleted; a submission must be withdrawn before changing its locked details, unless the studio has requested changes. Review requests may require your identity or permissions to be checked.

Questions and complaints

Use the contact form for service questions, copyright complaints, privacy requests or a request to withdraw content. Include the relevant title, artist and reference number, and provide evidence where appropriate. Do not place passwords, verification codes or payment-card details in a message.
