Who operates this website
Folk Music Studio is a Vistle Studios initiative for artist enquiries, catalogue preparation and studio review. Use the contact form on our website to send a privacy request or contact the team.
Information you choose to provide
Enquiry forms collect your name, email, topic and message. Artist profiles collect the artist or label name, contact email, city, role and biography you provide. Release preparation stores track metadata, contributor credits, audio, artwork and your upload-permission declaration.
Sign in with ChatGPT provides an account identifier, email and, when available, a display name. We use the account identifier to associate your records with your signed-in workspace.
Private drafts and studio submissions
Draft releases and their files are available in your own workspace. When you explicitly submit a release, you permit the authorised studio team to access that release, its attached audio and artwork, and the contact details needed for review. Withdrawing returns it to a private draft and removes it from the studio review queue. Review history is retained as an operational record.
Enquiries go to the studio inbox so the team can process them and contact you. If you are signed in when you enquire, you can also see the request in your workspace. Internal team notes are not displayed in the artist workspace.
Why information is processed
We use this information to operate the workspace, respond to enquiries, review catalogues, provide feedback, establish rights and service requirements, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary operational records. Enquiries and submissions do not subscribe you to a marketing newsletter.
Hosting and access
The website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites, with database and file infrastructure provided through its hosting services. Authentication is provided by ChatGPT. Data may be processed where these services operate; this website does not promise storage exclusively in India. Operational access is restricted to authorised studio accounts.
Technical information
We use temporary, salted hashes of network/account identifiers and time-window counters to limit abusive requests. The site stores your language preference in your browser. Hosting and authentication providers may process their own technical information under their policies.
Retention and your choices
You can edit profiles, delete private drafts and delete unused uploads in your workspace. Files attached to a saved release must be detached before deletion. The studio retains enquiry, submission and review information while needed for its purpose and applicable record obligations. To request access, correction or deletion beyond these controls, use the website contact form with the topic “Privacy request” and your reference number. We may need to verify that the request relates to you.
Information this workspace does not need
Do not upload government identity documents, bank details, tax documents or payment-card information. These require a separately arranged onboarding process if a contracted service needs them. Do not upload content without the required permissions.
Future distribution services
Delivery to streaming platforms, Content ID, paid service plans and royalty services require separate activation, terms and agreements. Submitting for review does not send music to streaming stores or transfer ownership.
